Brasileiros no navio

The staff on the cruise were such lovely people. People from all over the world the majority from the Philippines, Malaysian, Thailand and East Europe. We met a few Aussies and some of the most cultured the nicest people from Brazil. (photos)

Peter's impression as far

From Vancouver quite a pretty city – pretty park lands, beautiful harbor, friendly people.
Then of on a cruise ship to travel up the Inside Passage to Whittier. Ice capped mountains, stunning fjords, arctic birds, dolphins, seals and lots of whales just beautiful. I ate as much as a horse would do daily. Food on the cruise was excellent and never ending. I am sure I put on about 5 kilos. Plenty of things to do on the cruise; lots of entertainment. I was treated like a King. The staff were so humble. We saw a lot of fjords glacier – just stunning and huge. Exactly what one expects from Alaska – a stunningly beautiful wild country. A lot of lovely rain and vegetation every where – excellent experience.

A long the Inside Passage the ship stopped at Ketchikan ,Juneau, the capital of Alaska and Skagway now all tourist towns; all the towns come alive then the salmon run starts.

College Fjord

College Fjord is the hidden jewel of Prince William sound Drink in other worldly vistas as you enter a narrow channel outlined by mountains and punctuated by ice-blue glaciers.

Glacier Bay National Park

The bay boasts 12 such tidewater glaciers, including famous Margerie Glacier - one of Alaska's most photographed features, and also of the state's most active glacial faces. Its amazing, spectacular.

Skagway

Today, tourism is Skagway's main economic base. Within Skagway's downtown historical district, false-front buildings and boardwalks date from the gold rush period. The loca residents have succeeded in retaining the 1898 Gold Rush atmosphere.

Olha so o tamanho deste salmao - Have a look this salmon.

A entrada do museu

E como eles cuidam da cidade...

Esta fachada e linda - valeu a foto.

Skagwag is a blow hole the wind funnels along the mountains to a small exit between two mountains. The arctic winds hit Skagway with so much force, so cold but beautiful – dress in layers.

Juneau - Alaska's capital

Today Juneau is not only famous for gold and government, but also for its breathtakingly beautiful glaciers and stunning views, of both water and mountains.

Ketchikan - Alaska

We have entered the land of the midnight sun,the last frontier: What a buzz!!! traveling along the Inside Passage to Anchorage - already we have seen whales, rain, snow and bears.

Ketchikan is known as Alaska's "First City" because it's the first major community travelers com to as they journey north. The town is located on an island and began as an Indian fishing camp.

Ketchikan, with its abundance of salmon, is also a sportfishing paradise. Its amazing little town.

Beautiful landscape from the ship

Victoria

Victoria the capital of British Columbia an old historical township. We stayed in and around the Inner Harbour which is the hub of the town and is watched over by Fairmont Empress Hotel, the Parliament House and many other splendid buildings. We caught a bus from Vancouver to a ferry terminal which took us to Victoria, a very pleasant day, beautiful and warm weather.

Grouse Mountain and Stanley Park - Vancouver

Not eaten by jet lag we stayed busy seeing the sites of Vancouver for four day's. We went to the beautiful Grouse Mountain, the peak of British Columbia elevation is 1.250 metres.. We saw two grizzly bears at the top and the view was spectacular. From there we went to Stanley Park 1000 acres of park land along the water front just pretty, 1000 year old trees and 1500 different types of roses. Its amazing. I am having difficult to download my photos to the blog. I will try tomorrow.

Stanley Park - fica in Vancouver downtown - muito verde
