The Grand Slam

Tudo comecou quando eu decidi que queria fechar os 4 Grand Slams de Tennis. Como ja tinha assistido os 3 outros, Australia, French Open e Wimbledon - so faltava o US Open. Como a Australia e longe de tudo decidimos que alem de New York iriamos tambem conhecer o Alaska e o Canada. At this time, we are going to New York to see the US Open tennis. After that we will have been to the 4 Grand Slams Tennis. We take advantage of our trip and visit Alaska, Canada and the famous Grand Canyon.

Peter's impression as far

From Vancouver quite a pretty city – pretty park lands, beautiful harbor, friendly people.
Then of on a cruise ship to travel up the Inside Passage to Whittier. Ice capped mountains, stunning fjords, arctic birds, dolphins, seals and lots of whales just beautiful. I ate as much as a horse would do daily. Food on the cruise was excellent and never ending. I am sure I put on about 5 kilos. Plenty of things to do on the cruise; lots of entertainment. I was treated like a King. The staff were so humble. We saw a lot of fjords glacier – just stunning and huge. Exactly what one expects from Alaska – a stunningly beautiful wild country. A lot of lovely rain and vegetation every where – excellent experience.

A long the Inside Passage the ship stopped at Ketchikan ,Juneau, the capital of Alaska and Skagway now all tourist towns; all the towns come alive then the salmon run starts.
