The picturesque Quebec

The city of Quebec was founded in 1608 - known as the cradle of French civilization in North America. The city has a population of 638.000 of which 95% are French-speaking. English is widely spoken in all service industries and tourist and shopping areas.

Fortifications of Quebec - This commanding wall, declared a historical monument in 1957, forms a 4.6 km long defensive belt around the old city.
We walked a long the top of the fortified wall.

Nos fizemos quase toda a caminhada em cima do muro - claro que tirei um monte de fotos, porque em cada lugar tinha algo diferente.

Castle-style Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac hotel. Behind the Chateau, a large board walk called the Terrasse Dufferin edges along the cliff, providing fabulous views across the river.

The original Chateau.

Vieux-Quebec was proclaimed "world heritage site" by UNESCO in 1985.

Ate os telhados sao bonitos e diferentes

O hospital da cidade e todo cheio de paineis - deixa a cidade mais bonita.
